Come From Away - The Most Captivating Show I've Ever Seen

Supporting Live Theatre Right Now – COME FROM AWAY

The most amazing show I’ve seen in such a long time.

I knew a general guide of the storyline, I had seen the TV ads and heard a little bit of the music, but I didn’t know much else, which is actually really unusual for me.

I was completely spellbound from the moment the first cast member walked onto the stage.

The direction, choreography, staging, music, acting (as all cast members play multiple characters this was a HUGE show) I was just transfixed the entire 1hr and 40min (no interval).

It was also my first theatre outing wearing a mask and again in QLD this isn’t something we have had the mandate to wear in theatres until now. The unpleasantness wore off once the overture started. I didn’t even notice… until I tried to put the Malteser into my mouth on the outside of the mask. (I’m sure I’m not the only one).

As the show ended and we quickly rose to our feet I couldn’t help but feel deep deep gratitude to have had the privilege of seeing live theatre in all its glory. We are so incredibly blessed in this country to have some unbelievable shows running, more than anywhere else in the whole world (isn’t that madness)? And this is why I’m writing to you...

Support live theatre right now. You will not regret it.

And

I’m sure I’m forgetting some, feel free to let me know below 😊

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to sit in a theatre and be entertained at the moment. We can’t take this for granted. We must support where we can.

I’d love to hear what you have seen and loved lately, get involved in the comments below.

Congratulations to the cast, the crew, the production, and the producers.

Come From Away was easily the most magnificent show I have seen in a very long time.

We would go again and again. Without the lockdown the followed though J
