C’est Moi Product Review

I am utterly perplexed as to why there aren’t more people within this industry creating make-up and skin care that is specifically formulated for the young, gentle and sensitive skin of our tiny dancers.

When I was researching this area I found that there are only a very limited number of companies who focus on the age demographic between 4 – 12 years and C’est Moi is the obvious leader of the pack.

C’est Moi (pronounced as “SAY-MWA” French for “It’s Me") was born out of a Mother’s love and concern for her kids. The principle idea is to conceive a safe, Professional Skincare and Performance Makeup for kids. It is natural for a child to like experimenting and having fun with makeup but a child’s skin is delicate and naturally sensitive. Special care must be taken when selecting the product they put on their fragile skin.

The very first thing that you notice about C’est Moi before you realize that it’s actually kind to the skin is the branding.  The ‘pop’ of colour and the fabulous packaging is bright and fun for young dancers and it’s mix and match product formula means that you can get everything you need for young dancers (including the lip pencil) into the medium palette, which means  at age 4 you don’t have to be carrying around a great big make-up case… yet!

C’est Moi’s extensive product range includes:

Skincare

  • Hydrating Gel
  • Facial Mist
  • Night Cream
  • Delicate Skin Cleanser
  • Eye Make-up Remover
  • Skin Conditioning Cleansing Milk
  • Face Mask
  • Moisture Sunscreen Base

Make-up

  • Palettes – Small & Medium
  • Foundation Compact
  • Mineral Blusher
  • Mineral Eyeshadow
  • Mascara
  • Eyeliner Pencil
  • Liquid & Pencil Eyeliner
  • Make-up crayons
  • Jumbo Lipstick
  • Lipgloss

Accessories

  • Make-up Case (hard & soft)
  • Brush Set

I have seen the full range and I’m really impressed with the thought that has gone into the range and it’s obviously rigorous R&D process.  The pencils are super soft and drag across the skin with ease.  The concept of the lip pencil I LOVE as it offers a realistic way for kids to easily do their own lipstick without it ending up half way up to their eyebrow….

I think it’s worth mentioning too that C’est Moi’s ‘face crayon’ is perfect for drawing or shading on the face.  This is a big trend at the moment it seems where the costume or theme of the dance is carried into the make-up too.  The colours are great and it even comes in white which is actually quite hard to find.

I gave the products to Alexa and her mum Melissa to try.  Alexa LOVED being able to put on her own lipstick.  She loved that she could have a moisturizer and cleanser that was special to her so she didn’t have to share with mummy.

Mum Melissa, having previously used her own make-up removers and skin care on Alexa was thrilled to know that there was something out there that was going to look after her gorgeous young skin.

In her words ‘I’ll be getting some of the skin care range for Christmas this year.  It’s a sensible practical gift, but getting that brightly coloured little bottle out of a stocking will get her very excited.’

You get what you pay for, and although I think it is a little more expensive than I would have expected to pay you can tell from the minute you visit the website, receive your products and notice the difference that the quality is well worth the price tag.

As the mother of a 2 year old myself who has extremely sensitive skin, allergies and nasty eczema, although she isn’t dancing yet, I know when we get to that (and we will) I will be looking to C’est Moi that has been specifically formulated without the nastiness that I use on my own skin.

Give it a go.  See (and feel) the difference.  You can purchase you C’est Moi here today.
